LOVEBOX Festival : A day with my Fashion Sept girls

Do you love festivals but hate the thought of camping, and the possibility of not showering for 4 days? Then LOVEBOX is the music festival for you - it runs for 2 days in July, starts around midday and finishes around 11:30pm - so you can get the last train home to sleep in your own bed!! There is lots to do, see, eat and drink, there's even a roller disco!!
The Fashion Sept girls and I hit up the LOVEBOX festival on the Saturday courtesy of the lovely guys over at Superdry. 
We had SO much fun listening to amazing bands - my highlight being a DJ set from Annie Mac, munching Mac n Cheese & popcorn covered cupcakes, drinking artisan coffee & cocktails, and snapping it all on our Fuji Instax cameras!
I hope you enjoyed looking at the pics from our day at LOVEBOX and managed to get some festival fashion inspiration from the Fashion Sept and the other girls that we snapped at the festival - my favs being the unicorn girls and the sequinned shorts and jacket - such babes!!

Getting Festival Ready : Coachella Crochet

Summer is upon us and festival season is kicking off - with Glastonbury firmly on my mind (30 days and counting), and with this beautiful Mystree waistcoat called the Coachella Crochet Vest, it would be rude not to add a festival vibe to this outfit!
Hands up who is festival-ing it up this summer?
I need to get outfit planning for Glasto pretty soon! I am so excited - this summer is going to be a good one!

Glastonbury Festival Fashion : Day 3

I Am Wearing :  Flower Crown - Crown & Glory Sunglasses - c/o Oasap Aztec Maxi Dress - Boohoo Fringe Cardigan - Warehouse Fringe Waistcoat - H&M Frilly Socks - River Island Ankle Cowboy Boots - F&F Are you guys bored of my Glastonbury outfits yet? - I hope not coz there is still one more to come!! I might break it up a bit with a pressday post next, but for now I am festival fashion crazy! I just loved this aztec dress as soon as i saw it on boohoo - maxi dresses are just sooo easy to wear and are perfect for keeping you cool on a hot summers day. I layered this dress up with my new Warehouse sale BARGAIN, crocheted, fringe cardigan - that you will be seeing a lot of as it is the PERFECT summer cover up - yet another piece of clothing that has gained a place in my heart! - I clearly have a big heart or just a serious clothes addiction problem - call it what you like, i dont care - I am in love with my closet and proud! I also wanted to talk about these F&F cowboy boots - I also fell in love with these at first site when I spotted them at the F&F SS13 pressday here : in the Aztec inspired collection. When I received my order I found that they where a little taller than I had expected so I just took my scissors to them and chopped an inch off the top - now they are the perfect height and the raw edge just gives them a more lived in look which I really like! Do you customise your clothing to look how you want - or do you return them and continue the hunt for the perfect item? I would love to know your styling tricks! Boohoo Festival DIY

Boohoo sent me this super cute t-shirt dress to DIY and style up for festival season - so here is my step-by-step guide to a fringed maxi dress ...

Step 1 : Decide how long you want your fringe to be - it may help to mark the length on the dress whist  you are wearing it for a more accurate length - use chalk as it rubs off the fabric easily and will not damage your dress!
Step 2 :  Lay the dress onto a flat surface

Step 3 : Using a ruler draw a straight line in chalk across the dress at the desired height, then mark out 1cm gaps along the line - repeat this on the back of the dress also

Step 4 : Chalk out 1cm gaps along the hem of the dress also - to help guide you when you are cutting in the fringing 

Step 5 : Beginning at the edge, start to cut straight lines from the hem of the dress up to the marked chalked line - take your time and be carful ONLY to cut the front of the dress. It is a good idea to place the cut fringe upwards towards the neck of the dress to prevent any accidents with the scissors - nobody wants half a piece of fringe!!

Step 6 : When it comes to the side seems of your dress be carful NOT to cut the sewing as this will split your dress making it unwearable! Cut either side as shown in picture above. - repeat steps 5 & 6 on the reverse of the dress.

Step 7 : When you have cut all of the fringe it is time to create the lattice effect - Starting at the side seem, take 2 pieces of fringe and double knot them about an inch from the newly created hem line.

Continue until all the fringes have been knotted - if you are left with 3 pieces of fringe at the end just knot them all together - it wont be noticeable as it is at the side seem!

Step 8 : To create lower lattice, take a piece of fringe from each pair and double knot those together - as shown above and below - make sure this knot is about 1 inch below the top knot - repeat around entire dress

It was heaps of fun to do and has inspired me to think of more ways to revamp my existing wardrobe!
I was so happy to get an email from the gorgeous Rachel over at R&R Jewellery asking if i would like a personalised bracelet of my choice to wear this summer - naturally being self obsessed I went for a bracelet that was all about ME - my blog to be exact but whats the difference! 
The bracelets are all hand made and i just LOVE how mine turned out! Thank you so much Ray Faye, what a lovely gift. - go check out her shop she can do pretty much anything and at super cheap prices too! - great for friends, families or lovers to share a matching bracelet perhaps??
