My Dream Vintage Dress

This is how I feel in this dress!!

When Beyond Retro asked me to go down to their Dalston store to find my dream vintage dress, I was both excited and mildly terrified at the same time. I love vintage and I love dresses AND I dream about them all the time, but what if they couldn't make my dreams come true? What if I traveled across London with a tummy full of dress shopping butterflies only to have them turned into vintage moth balls!

Alas all my fretting and mid-summer sweating was all in vain as I entered the fitting room with a basket full of (almost) 27 dresses! I managed to whittle the 27 down to 4 and came home with not 1 but 2 vintage dress dreams! 

The dream you see before you was a mere £20 - that my darlings is quiet possibly the dreamiest part!!

Monochrome Days

I don't often have monochrome days but every now and then I am surprise myself and keep it simple!
Black and white is so clean and sharp I find it hard to pull off as my personality is so messy - a little like my hair! So my take on monochrome had to include a busy aztec print to keep it in my comfort zone!

My love for pastels knows no end and the addition of this comfy pink shrug and beautiful baby blue satchel to my wardrobe has made me a very happy girl.
Oh yeah and I finally did an outfit post in these Zara sliders - they too are my kind of perfection! I saw they are selling them in black now too - hmmmmm I'm thinking about it - don't tell my husband!
Looking forward to the weekend - it has been a LONG week.

Spring has well and truly sprung in London and it is finally warm enough to spend the entire day in a cardigan and open shoes without socks or tights!
This may not sound like anything majorly exciting but my small world is ALWAYS rocked at this time of year! My big coats have been hung up and my light jackets are coming out to play!
Are you excited that summer is just around the corner or are you morning the loss of your chunk knit jumpers and wooly tights?

So I found the perfect wide brim fedora in H&M and it was totally affordable - £14.99 - yup thats right less than £15 for a felt hat! Gotta love that price right?!
Wanna know a secret???
I bust the zip on this dress, but still really wanted to wear it so I didn't take my jacket off all day!! Shhhhhh dont' tell anyone ;-)

Pastel Blue Coat

THIS COAT!
I have wanted a pale blue coat since like FOREVER and I finally found one that was in my price range! Priced at only £44 this coat really is a BARGAIN! It took a couple of weeks to arrive but it was totally worth the wait!
Also - I am LOVING that trainers are acceptable fashion footwear once again - these Nikes are SO comfy to wear! Whilst I was home for Christmas I saw some fashionable girls on the streets of Liverpool wearing their trainers with full skirts - think I am gonna give it a go in the warmer weather!
